Commissioner Yzaguirre was born and raised in Marsing, Idaho. He graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Business. The Commissioner has pursued numerous business ventures in both Boise and Eagle. Currently, Rick, his wife Sandy, and their three daughters are living in Ada County and enjoy everything this community has to offer.

Prior to be elected Ada County Commissioner in 2002, Rick served the Eagle community in numerous ways, as an Eagle Fire District Commissioner, as an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Eagle Downtown Revitalization, Eagle Law Enforcement Committee, Pathway Committee, Eagle Fun Day's and many others. In 1991 and 1993 Rick was recognized as Businessperson of the year. After having served eight years on the Eagle City Council, in 1997 he was elected Mayor of Eagle. He was elected to a second term as Mayor and served the Eagle community through 2002, when he was elected to serve the citizens of Ada County as an Ada County Commissioner. Learn more...
